Incredible! Cannot wait to go again! The staff is so amazing and the food and wine, out of this world. The space is an old jail with original pieces still adorning the structure!
This place is amazing. We went twice on our Bergen vacation. The owners are the nicest couple. One is from Bergen and the other is from Chicago. They are very nice and the food is phenomenal. Great drinks as well. Bonus, they have Bourbon!!!
This is an absolutely lovely spot hidden on a Bergen side street. I stopped in on a busy Saturday evening after stumbling upon it earlier in the day. The owners are wonderful folks and it is very obvious that they love what they do. Everyone that works there was fun and friendly. The food was excellent and the wine suggestions were spot on. It was pleasing to hear multiple languages being spoken; a mix of Norwegians and international tourists. I am looking forward to coming back.
we ordered the avicado toast, the trout and the goat meat. The amounts in general were not fullfeeling at all. We expected at leats two pieces of trout and only was served one :( the goat meat was exquisite!
Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, staff, and food! My friend and I ordered two small plates and a toast to share. The slow cooked sea trout was incredible! And the crab and rice croquettes were fantastic. The piri piri chicken was filling and delicious too. The staff were kind, patient, and so helpful! Highly recommend this hidden little spot!
Me and my lovely wife came to Bergen for a long weekend. Ate at Pinocchio Mat and Vinbar. Had pork belly, biff nachos and Parmesan fries with aioli. It was absolutely wicked!! Icing on the cake was a bottle of decent Riesling that did not cost arm and a leg. They promised you good food, I tell you, this Pinocchio does not lie 🤩
We came for dinner service and had a lovely experience. The small plates were beautiful and tasted even better then they looked. We enjoyed the crab croquettes, trout, and hummus. The bar staff were very friendly and had good drink reccomdations. The atmosphere is also phenomenal. Highly recommend.
You will feel right at home in this intimate wine bar called Pinocchio located down a narrow side alley close to the sea. The location is well Marked and easy to find. It is a reclaimed old Jail that has an industrial city loft meets old-world cottage vibe. We stumbled across this little gem by accident and sure glad we did!! The Chef/Owner and his lovely wife are absolutely amazing, kind and friendly. I say again, you feel right at home from the moment you walk into this charming little restaurant where they prepare the most incredible tapas. The food is simple, fresh, yet refined. Hummus, fried Goat cheese, devilled eggs, yummy gourmet toasts, crab & rice Croquettes and duck confit with a delish Orange Marmalade served with sourdough toast. Everything on the menu plays up the signature use of fresh, seasonal, top notch ingredients and accompany an exciting wine list. You won’t ever want to leave this lively little hideaway once you make it inside, thanks to it’s dim, but cozy atmosphere and relaxing tunes with the most incredible glass wine room that really classes up this 450 year old reclaimed Jail. You gotta eat here!!! Edit/addition to initial review….. loved it so much we had to go back again and try some more menu items… no pics this time, too busy eating🤤
